The bill she is promoting says any weapon with at least one military characteristic? So who gets to define what that characteristic is? Because ALL pistols shotguns etc have a military characteristic! All have a chamber, bolt fac,e firing pin etc. This bill is not a good bill on ALL levels. This bill could be worded very easily or interpreted in a manner that could ban ALL weapons.

Since the military no longer uses or trains for bayonets, I suppose that a bayonet lug is not a military characteristic?

I believe they still train & use bayonets.

The Army retired bayonet training 2 or 3 years ago. The Marines may still do it, though.

Anything in the following list....

All semiautomatic rifles that can accept a detachable magazine and have at least one military feature: pistol grip; forward grip; folding, telescoping, or detachable stock; grenade launcher or rocket launcher; barrel shroud; or threaded barrel.

All semiautomatic pistols that can accept a detachable magazine and have at least one military feature: threaded barrel; second pistol grip; barrel shroud; capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location outside of the pistol grip; or semiautomatic version of an automatic firearm.

All semiautomatic rifles and handguns that have a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds.

All semiautomatic shotguns that have a folding, telescoping, or detachable stock; pistol grip; fixed magazine with the capacity to accept more than 5 rounds; ability to accept a detachable magazine; forward grip; grenade launcher or rocket launcher; or shotgun with a revolving cylinder.

All ammunition feeding devices (magazines, strips, and drums) capable of accepting more than 10 rounds.

157 specifically-named firearms

So the Tarus Judge and smith public defender would be banned as a shotgun with a revolving cylinder, all shotguns with adjustable stocks and a pistol grip, there is a lot more there than just rifles....
