Yes a blind person has the right to own a gun. If they trained with it properly, it could be used as a last resort self defense weapon. If the blind person could get one hand on you for guidance, he could press the gun up against your body using the other hand and kill you.

No you are missing the point. Everyone has a right to own a gun until they prove they are irresponsible to own it. I have a car that does 110 mph. The speed limit max in the US anywhere is 75 mph but I am still allowed to own my car. Even though I should not be able to go 110 on public road ways.

His rights / his disabilities / his decision!

The government should NOT get involved in our rights/decisions UNLESS we become totally dependent on them in some means other than "retirement" (and I hope very few intend to live on SS for retirement ;\) )

What arrogance has been fostered in the liberal mindset of the American people.

The idea that everyone else is Soooooooo stupid that "we" should be the ones to decide what rights they are worthy of having is an insult to pretty much every other person in the country. God forbid anyone ever criticize or infringe on "your" rights though. Even false "rights" invented by entitled whiners.

Its a symptom of the elitist attitude which is destroying the country. What delusions of grandeur allow a man to sneer down his nose at others rights while reserving those rights and a host of other invented rights to themselves?

Yes, I believe he should be allowed to OWN a firearm. Issuing him a concealed carry permit may be another conversation.. but to say he can't own one is ridiculous. He has the same rights any of us have.

I think he not only should have the right to own a gun he should be able to have a carry permit more then most. If you were a thug on the corner and looked down the block one way and saw a blind man walking down the street and on the other side saw "normal" person walking down the street. You need some beer money who do you hit up? Now you may say a blind man can not protect himself. If you are on a street and you see a mad old black blind guy pull out a Gun what will you do? They will run and if you are an Innocent by-standard you may want to duck also.

Concealed to Stevie means something totally different. It can be "concealed" by moving it from the coffee table to the kitchen counter \:D

They have braille on drive up ATM's. That being the case, I say if they can drive a car then they can own a gun.
