The doc did this to him, not from work -

My bad....... I just hear this TOO often in the workplace where someone causes something then they want to be paid..
If the Doc did it - he should surely pay!

Anytime I hear Lawyer is makes me cringe... I know there are a few good ones out there but for the most part they are closer to dracula than anything good..

Ruger, just have the Doc lay out corrective surgery and or a lifetime of payments. Can't just walk away, somthing has to be done to square the board back up even though that is never completely possible. Way my shoulder is feeling I could be the next guy he moves on with a scalpel in his hand, egads.
Better yet, consult with one of the sports physicians, there are experts on every joint and nerve, someone has gotta have an answer besides oops. Jeez, getting my blood pressure up just thinking about this.
Get a lawyer on no fee retained just in case. try and do it on the phone, they will indeed make dracular look like an amatuer.

His screw up caused a disability. He needs to compensate you. It won't fix it but something should be done. If nothing else, him paying for it might make him more careful with the next patient.

Sorry to hear that RUGER, I would def sue his incompetent AZZ !!! All Ive heard since I have moved to west TN is how bad the doctors suck. Since my wife has had her surgery I can personally vouch for it.

Seems like I need to clarify a few things just in case.
Number one and above all, I do not hold my employer responsible for my situation at all. I have not and will not ever even consider any kind of legal action against them either.
I got hurt at work through no fault of them or myself really, it just happened and I ruptured my bicep tendon.
I had surgery to repair this and in the process the doctor damaged my radial nerve. I have lost partial use of my right (dominant) hand because of this.
If, I repeat IF I do consult an attorney it will be because of malpractice by the doctor.
I will go a step further and say if for some crazy reason, if I sue the doctor and it effects my employer in ANY way I will drop it and walk away, period.
I hate the mere thought of even talking to a lawyer, much less taking legal action against anyone, but he did indeed screw up.
I will just see how it all plays out.
In fact the way I understand workers comp, my company is gonna end up paying more because of him and that just ain't right.
Anyway, as everyone has told me, it could be worse so it ain't the end of the world.
Worst part is trying to cast a rod and reel.
Tired of my beard too, but it is just too dang hard to shave left handed so I let it grow. Hey, who knows, maybe I will start duck hunting and get to get paid to say fear the beard.

Atleast he was honest an admited he made a mistake. Has none of you ever made a mistake? I think not! Doctors are human too. I'm sure Ruger had to sign papers and was told the risk. Also it had to be bad to have surgery in the first place so were would you be without the surgery? If the dr. never told you would you have ever known he had made a mistake?
