Take a look at this article from Dec and then look at the ratings chart for all US Senators:

Where the Senate stands on guns — in one chart

Being a Texas resident and voter, I must admit that I'm not very familiar with US Senators Corker and Alexander from Tennessee. One thing I noticed in the chart is that the NRA gives Corker and Alexander both an "A" rating, but Gun Owners of America gives them a "C" rating. Why do do these two groups have such a different perception of Corker and Alexander?

Also, the chart shows that the fate of Feinstein's proposed legislation could be determined by the decisions of the small group of "pro-gun" Democrats and the small group "not-so-pro-gun" Republicans like Senator Kirk from Illinois, Senator Coats from Indiana, Senator Collins from Maine, Senator McCain from Arizona and Senator Rubio from Florida.

Out of 53 Democrats Senators, 35 of them have "F" ratings. Pathetic!!!

According to the GOA website under voting tracking: It appears that both Alexander and Corker voted pro gun 90% of the time. Alexander and Corker both got some negative marks for voting for some items that were not supported by the GOA.

Confirmation Jesse M. Furman, of New York, to be United States District Judge 02/17/2012

Cover-Up Protection Act 06/29/2011

No Registration of Gun Records. On May 26, 2011, the U.S. Senate defeated an amendment offered by Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) to protect the privacy of gun owners. Specifically, his language would have exempted gun records -- including 4473’s (the form all purchasers fill out when they buy a firearm from a licensed dealer) -- from the blanket information demands which the ATF can make under the PATRIOT Act. The Senate defeated the Paul language by an 85-10 vote. A vote in favor of the Paul amendment is a pro-gun vote and is rated as a “+”.

As far as I'm concerned, they are both, super moderate, and in no way conservative. They don't get a C rating in my book, but are closer to D. Just my own opinion, but then I don't believe the Repubs are even trying to fight off the progressive attack of this POTUS. They aren't doing the job that we the people should be seeing....in my opinion.

Guess you've never heard Fl. senator Marco Rubio speak on gun rights or his belief in the 2nd amendment. Gets a B+ from NRA, and a A from GOA. Personally I hope he runs for president in 2016.
