This gun belongs to a good friend of mine which he has owned probably 35 plus years. I was at his house a few weeks ago and he told me to take it home and shoot it, said that it hadn't been fired in probably 15 years or longer. I cleaned it up good and this past weekend got to put some rounds through it. It was shooting about a foot high to start with then after a few adjustments she was on. At 100 she would shoot the same hole at 200 it was the same story. This baby was an absolute pleasure to shoot.

There is not any windage or elevation adjustments on the scope, the adjustments are made with the mounts.

Nice got one just like it scope and all only mine is a 22-250. If you have not shot through a unerti scope you are missing something. For thouse who don't know the unerti scope was used first in in WWI a German scope. The last I heard our Marine core gets every one they can.

That would have been one heck of a groundhog gun.

I read some forum posts about some problems the family was having, but I think they've ironed it all out now and are producing scopes again (maybe under a different name). It's been a while since I read it, but maybe it was American something... Anyway, an 8x Unertl was the favorite scope of White Feather (Carlos Hathcock).

I've handled one just like it in 22-250. Sweet setup.

that would be a 700 BDL Varmint Special,,and I think the 25-06 was the only long action chambering offered in that model,,
I had a 6mm Rem and shot a 222 a lot back in the early 80`s,,the 6mm would shoot the 70 gr Sierra bullet and 4064 in one little bitty hole,,
