Yeah, don't "draw the blood out", that only robs the meat of precious moisture. It will cook off over time.

We take lipton onion soup and the deer roast put it in the crock pot, when done take it out and pull the meat, the white strands will be alot easier to dispose of. You have a choice then to take the meat put it on a sheet with BBQ sauce makes great sandwich, or use the meat as you would a roast.

I made one last yr and just wanted to try something new. I put the roast in and instead of using normal beef broth I used the low proof Souther Comfort along with a little Weistershier and garlic, salt and pepper and water. Half water and half southern comfort. People still beg me all the time to make it again. I just keep forgetting to get some more SC.
