Going to see my grandfather's road marker the last week of March or the first week of April...Anyone live over that way? I just know it's in White County...between Crossville and Sparta. Tried to go last year but didn't make it. Any places I should check out in the area?

You should check out Virgin Falls if you're up for a hike. It's about an 8 mile round trip.

Very cool little piece of baseball history. I would bring a shotgun, some camo and a few calls and try to find some toms on public land while you're there.

You will be just a few miles from these falls if you like to hike. There is also a WMA, Bridgestone WMA, that borders the land for the falls.

I got enough turkeys on my farm...thick as mosquitoes...but the Falls sounds interesting...

seen that sign a thousand time. do take a hike to the falls it is nice. a lot of coal mining history in this area.
