This is one of my faves but I doubt I will bring it home. No place to put it. It looks great where it is and has been there many years.

Hobby Lobby, Michaels, maybe even Walmart would sell dried Spanish moss (or other types, some are fake) in their stores.

Some people are allergic to mosses, so I would see if good quality fake stuff is availalbe and you have less to worry about in that area.

You know, when you think about it, any game animal does not have to be the biggest you ever killed to make a great mount. Some of my favorites are way far not the biggest I have killed. The biggest bear I ever killed, I gave to the out fitter for his lodge because it did not mean a lot to me. It was, at that time, the biggest by over 100-pounds, ever killed out of that lodge. It was an easy, 11-yard shot on an old bear.

Yet, a 250-pound cinnamon I killed one year in Ont. meant a lot more to me as did a silky solid black that I killed on a snowy afternoon (in June) in Northern Sask. That bear scared me. Both are on my floor now to remind me of it. Both are smaller by 250-300 pounds than this one.

Hey Bad Deer, what's the story on the bear? Where did you kill it, etc?

You can greenery or just about anything you want from a good taxidermist catalog. I use old antlers and arrows or empty shell casings to dress up mounts.

I think it'd be cool if you got rid of the rock, fern and wood and made it look as if it were coming through the wall.
