Ditch the fern. Sweet mount though.

A little moss might be cool, maybe even ivy, but not the fern. Otherwise, the bear itself is awesome! Envy strikes again.

I thought the exact same thing, that moss would have made it perfect. Wonder where I can find some...?

Give some thought to doing one with one shoulder and one leg as if stepping out. Just Do NOT have the leg reaching as though it is trying to paw something. Have it solid on the ground. I wish I had a picture of one to show you.
A one-leg/shoulder mount should not be any more expensive than a regular shoulder mount. They are not hard to do. The key is in the pedestal. I prefer a log to a rock and I like a lot of greenery with the foot and leg almost hidden.
I recent years, I have become somewhat of a fan of one side type mounts. They work so well in corners and there is so much that can be done with them. It was many years before I saw a bear mount that I would have had in my house. Lately, I have seen some great ones.
Possibly in the not so distant future, I will be bringing some of my mounts home from other locations. I have idea where I am going to put them. I have one or two that are somewhat "different".

I would love to see one like you describe, as well as the mounts that are "different".
