Bought this gun new back in the mid 70's. It has a smooth tigger but is a bit light, 3lb ish. It's beautiful with little to no blimishes. I hunted with it on the youth hunts back in the day, took my first deer with it :). It will make someone a great rifle. The gun has been in my safe for the last 25 years. I am taking it out to the Stones River gun range tomorrow if anyone wants to see it.

The scope is a 3 x 9 x 40 Kassnar/Nitrogen Filled, it is crystal clear and has a great duplex reticle

$700 with scope or $600 with out. Not interested in Trades.

Nice looking gun. Assume you're talking about Stones River Range. If so I'm planning to go out there in the morning or Sunday afternoon. If you see a ford f-250 bronze / burgundy in color with a camo T on the front come say hi. Probably have a UT hat on.

Looks like the bolt handle has been customized as well. Great looking rifle for sure.

Well it appears that Rubberduck 270 and some of the other folks who commented to my post know their stuff when it comes to guns.

I thought the gun was all stock but it is not. I spoke with my dad tonight, he said he bought the gun off the shelf ,but, after that he gave it to a buddy he worked with for some customizatons. His buddy was a gun builder and did the custom work on the stock. He put the design work on it and the inlay. He also glass bedded it and did a trigger job.

As far as the bolt goes, it is the stock bolt, but my dad customized the finish. So hats of to Rubberduck270 for pointing that out. My dad said he put a hickory rod embedded with diamond dust into a drill and ground the finish on it. Now that sounds pretty bizaree to me but he said it a normal pratice. My dad was a machinest and a gunsmith in the army so he should know. Anyway, just wanted to add all that. Thanks to everyone for the comments and info.

I have decided not to sell it. To much family history, it shoots really well and I love the way it looks. \:\)
