I shoot aa 5744 in my stainless savage ml10-2. What sabot is best used with the 300 gr. hornady ftx? Thanks

I believe it is a .458 diameter, correct? If so, try the harvestor black crush rib sabot.

East Tn Hunter- the box says Hornady FTX .452". Down under that the box says 300 GR SST ML. Thanks for answering my question and please comment on the appropriate sabot for the .452". Thanks to volsgo1 too...even though I am a Vandy man ! HMH

I have two of the Savage ML-II muzzleloaders. I shoot 45 grains of AA 5744, 325 grain Hornady FTX, 458 Diameter with Orange MMP Sabots. This is an absolutely deadly and accurate load.

the .452 300 grain ftx (sst) needs the harvestor red crushed rib, the .458 325 gr needs the black crushed ribs or orange mmps, trust me
