I don't know what their policy is. I'm just saying that I assumed like everyone else for a month that since the shelve is empty they are out. Since I asked and got some maybe it wouldn't hurt for others to ask at their store and they might get lucky also. I don't love Walmart but since they are the ONLY store in Chattanooga where I found ammo, I will continue to buy ammo there. They also didn't jack up the price.

I have asked before this mess and some was under the counter but only because she hadnt gotten a chance to stamp and stock them yet. They are on order here but not coming in too quickly or very much at a time. I have a good rapport with the two main folks that work sporting goods. I believe them. They are frustrated too.

If you went back there now you would think your Wal Mart is crappy as well as I would almost bet their shelves are now empty as well. You just got lucky and hit it right after they stocked.

To answer the original question, i dont think walmart is hurting too much...not teetering on the edge of bankruptcy...over lost ammo and gun sales.
Based on the current political environment i believe walmart isnt going to be in the gun business in a few years anyway.

The Walmart in Lexington pulled every firearm and ammo that was there yesterday. They are longer selling and won't give a reason why.
