Seems like hunters in MS are breaking the records every year. They are definitely killing some brutes. I was in my taxidermist's shop last week and this MS brute was in there. Wow - half deer, half moose. Any idea whether it was free-range or high fence? Looks more like his Momma slept with a duck! Wow!!! Hijack complete...

It was a free-range deer killed in Benton County, Mississippi. I green-scored the buck at 207 4/8 gross, 195 6/8 net non-typical.

Any idea whether it was free-range or high fence? Free range and if I recall correctly, killed by a juvenile to boot.

Not much high fence hunting going in MS. I have only personally ever seen one high fence club in North MS. They are a large property right in the middle of the Holly Springs Ntl Forrest. I think they do it largely to keep the deer dogs out.

Not sure. Its the only high fence I have noticed, so we may be talking about the same one.
