Regardless, I'll never own a ford anyway.

Henry Ford died in 1947. My father wasn't even born until 1948. My patronage of the Ford Motor Company has no bearing on his legacy, and vice versa. In modern times, the FMC is the only "domestic" vehicle manufacturer not to accept Obamabucks, and my truck was manufactured in Kansas City, MO. These two things are much higher on my list of concerns than how dead guys patted each other on the backs before the world was at war. Well drive on then.....
Gladly

After reading it I thought it too harsh and not what I was trying to say...Seemed like I was attacking you and that was not my intent. My intent I guess is that it's easy to hindsight judge people of prominence from a different era but since we didn't live in that era we really don't know the climate and the reasons for their decisions

Well that's good Coach. I got to read the post and it did in fact come off as a pretty harsh attack on myself and I thought well dang. I just happened to come across it and thought it to be interesting as I had never heard it before. I have not liked Ford's for years for other reasons, not just because of this. I didn't post it to make you or anyone else mad. I just thought it to be interesting. I would not try to intentionally make anyone mad at me for anything.

I'm not sure how much I can hold Ford motor co. accountable for the actions and opinion of it's founder over 80 years ago when 1/2+ of our CURRENT congress hold those same opinions.
GM is beholden to the anti-semetic President who is arming Egypt and denouncing Israel TODAY. Not to mention the fact that they are shipping the production of Cadillac and other GM lines to communist china.
General Electric is so tied to the Communist, Muslim and Socialist regime in Power that they share offices (Jeffery Emmelt).
If we spend too much time looking backwards, we're going to walk right into a wall.
IMO

Yep, I believe that and why I deleted it. Could have also been the chicken I was making came out of the oven and was pretty gross! ha

Pretty well somes up my thoughts at this point, even though it is an interseting read (what I gleaned by skimming over it). I was raised as: Chevy=good, Ford=bad. But my father and brother recently purchased Ford F150s much for the reasons that you stated, and if I were to have the money to buy a new vehicle then I would probably fall in line. Not to mention the fact that Ford has pushed through with some great innovations using their on R&D, whereas Chevy has largely stood pat, with much of their changes having been implemented through govt funded R&D in its line.

I've always hated Chevy and GM. They always got stuck offroad and broke down all the time. I've always been a Ford guy, as far as trucks go (I'm a Jeeper/ pre Chrysler) Just because someone supported something back in the day doesn't mean that's what goes on today. I know that 26% of GM is owned by the government and a reason American is in more then $49.5 billion dollars in debt because instead of paying back the money they gave the government most control over the company. Since GM was that bad off they should've shut down. Not only that but within a few years GM stocks went from almost $50/stock down it under $28/stock. So now GM says they are planning on buying back some stocks from the government because the stocks are low and they can get some of them back for half of the money. The government shouldn't even be involved with privately owned companies.
