That might be one reason North Carolina allows deer farming. That could be a big deal!



There is not much in the way of deer farming in NC and I believe the only species you can farm deer with are red deer and fallow deer for meat and for meat only.

As I understand it it is illegal still to import any new deer into North Carolina due to CWD. NC even blocked extra elk to be released into the Great Smokies due to CWD and other diseases.

I should also mention you have the same legislators no matter what committees you have.

Whether they vote on deer farming in the wildlife committee or agriculture committee makes no difference I would think?

They are going to be lobbied pro and con either way.
