Some people take pride in having a great looking yard.
I've thought about spraying my whole yard with roundup and then painting it green...I could careless what grows in my yard, weeds, clover, or crab grass, its all the same to me..It's all gotta be mowed.

I always wanted to concret mine and then paint it green

the dark of the moon in february. That is what the old timers always do. Almost every seed will germinate. The full moon in Feb is the 25th so I would sow anywhere around that

I fertilized, etc., several years ago.

After having to mow every 3-4 days over a wet summer, I vowed to NEVER do that again!

I was told to seed in September so the grass will have time to develope a good deep root system. This is suppose to help it withstand summer's heat and drought.

I was also told that we are too far south for northern grasses and too far north for the southern ones.

To have a good looking lawn around here is a lot of work but if you enjoy that kind of thing then go for it. Good luck with your lawn.

Me too!

I have a 3 acre yard and WISH it were 100'x100' during mowing season

I'm overseeded a couple times in the fall. This weekend I'll probably toss out some weed n feed with crabgrass preventer. Should have done it last Thursday when it snowed.
