The jar of p-nut butter will also work. We had a competition at school where the students had to catapult the eggs and they had to land in tact. Some of the students scouped out some p-nut butter, put the egg in, then returned the p-nut butter. It was pretty indestructible.

Very nice! Are those rubber bands wrapped around "the package" that are attached to the support?

yea they are the silicone "silly bands" that all the kids were wearing a couple of years ago.
