that is funny.... made me laugh out loud... (the dog part)... I am the same way about trying things.. i love to do it... Last week I tried Beef tongue and "sweet breads" for the first time.... they were really good.

I eat raw oysters, clam, shrimp, mussels, mushrooms, etc...but, the old Coach is not...not going to eat eyeballs or...well...balls!

Had never thought about trying till a man that lived next door to me made it. He was a butcher all his life and what he made looked nothing like what you see in the stores. He said he wouldn't even eat it. But it sure was good.

Have a beef tongue in the freezer from the cow we had processed. Waiting for a special occasion, but I know it's delicious stuff. Hard to come by anymore.

Dip it in vinegar and/or mustard and eat it with crackers.Good homemade souse is a great snack.
Don't use eyes ect.
