My Mrs. has them.... pretty regular if she sleeps on her left side.... she was born with a heart defect.
Sometimes stress can trigger it as well.

Yep. I hold my breath and put pressure in my chest to make them go away...if that makes sense.

IF they are PVC's it's a fairly common thing. I get them all the time, especially during heavy sweating. A can of V8 usually gets my electrolytes back in line.

Yes had them bad last year. I finally figured out myself that it was some allergy meds causing it.

Nicotine and caffiene are big contributors as well as dehydration. I quit both and no more palpitations.

I have a bi-cuspid aortic valve which causes mine to palpitate every so often—especially if I've had way too much caffine or certain OTC medications like pseudoephedrine (very popular nasal decongestant) will trigger it as well. If I'm not too careful it will transfer into a full-blown A-FIB episode—not fun!

Been on meds for mine all my adult life. Had a battery of tests done last June after a "spell", thankfully nothing major, just a congenital electrical defect in my heart-quite common, the cardiologist said.
Get it checked out, just because it's fairly common doesn't mean you can ignore it. Get it checked out. Period.

I have a history of come-and-go atrial fibrillation (A-Fib for short). It's something you can live with....the blood clots they can throw out are not.
With my boy's heart issues, we've become a family very in-tune with all things cardio. It's not something to mess with.
For the most part, medicine will take care of it. More extreme cases may require electrical charges, or even catheter ablations. But those are on down the road if anything weird is discovered.

Mitral valve prolapse can cause palpitations. Fairly common & not life-threatening in most cases, but CAN be. A beta blocker helped my palpitations that sometimes felt like my heart was jumping up into my throat.

Get a stress test to figure out whether or not it is a fatal rhythm. My wife is a cardiac nurse and has some dangerous heart palpitations so I hear a bit about them. A lot of the times it is just something that you have always had and present circumstances are making them show up now. They really can be deadly and I would advise everyone who has them to go get them checked out with scans and stress tests. While they may not seem that bad now, you never know when it will get bad and will cause heart failure or something else. You dont want to be dragging a deer outta the woods and have something happen to you and then not have anyone find you for a while. Or whats worse, you dont want to be with your family and have something horrible happen in front of them. So everyone, please go get these checked out.

I wore a Holter monitor for a couple days and found out mine were PVC's, premature ventricular contractions. My Doc told me I have an athletic heart and it is fairly common. As I stated above, I notice them more when I lose salt through perspiration; I just re-hydrate and drink a can of V-8 to get my calcium, potassium, and sodium back inline. I also notice mine increase with caffeine.

I may be wrong but I don't think these are angina symptoms, angina is pain or pressure ?

Flutters and quivers for me. There's no rhyme or reason to them and nothing shows up on any tests. Doc suspects hormone fluctuations or thyroid but my thyroid levels are skewed so no definitive reason. i just don't worry about it.
