Coal Creek is now banning all hunting on their 72k acres. They state that they don't want hunters riding around with deer on their ATVs to be seen by non-hunting riders. They're concerned it will affect permit sales. Coal Creek OHV and North Cumberland are connected like puzzle pieces. My questions are:
  • Does TWRA have any agreement with Coal Creek?
  • Will TWRA now enforce keeping the non-permitted and non-hunting ATV riders out of North Cumberland?
  • Can someone with authority talk to Coal Creek about making the area "archery only" if it's a safety concern?

This is a huge loss to area hunters, especially if ATV riders continue to disrupt, litter and damage the area during hunting seasons.

Wonder if we could get the email of whoever is in charge and send him an email of every permit that he just lost if that would help?

I just sent an email voicing my opinion and informing them that this WILL affect their permit sales as i will no longer buy their overpriced permit and will encourage everybody i know to do likewise.

I've never been there but I sent them an email, seems to me that is a stupid business decision because instead of just losing a few atv riders they just lost 100% of there hunters but hey, what do I know about business.
