I can't remember who told me to get flurocarbon (sp?) line but thank you.
I believe it was said, switch to it and you will be amazed how many more fish you catch.
This is definately true.

I don't really like it but I guess it would be better if I sprayed some line conditioner or whatever on it but I don't know if I will mess with it or not.

I went from catching 1 or 2 trout per 3 hour trip to this:

We fished for 1 1/2 hours and I caught these.

All on a solid yellow rooster tail.
Then as a bonus I got this ole boy. He got a free pass.

It was definately a surprise and I could instantly tell the difference in the fight.

Man managed these. One on solid pink, the rest on solid yellow.

Tomorrow they go on the grill, some will be done with butter and Tony Chacheries (sp?) some with butter and lemon pepper wrapped in bacon and some with maybe just pepper or nothing at all.

Good day, my back is shot.

All were from a city lake.
Met a guy that told me trout were meant to be caught and released. I laughed and said thank you.

Line conditioner will help make it more manageable. What brand did you get?

Get out in the yard or somewhere you can peel off about 2 cast worth of line. Tie the line to something and just walk the line off. Get you an old piece of tshirt or something like that and drench it with conditioner. Use the drenched cloth between your thumb and index finger with the line in it and reel the line back on the reel keeping tension like when you first spool the line.

It is Berkley in the gold package.
Didn't see a "name" like vanish or nothing on it.

Basically it is the only flurocarbon line walmart had, so I bought it. \:D

I think it's the Berkeley 100% fluorocarbon. That's pretty good stuff. Stay away from the Vanish and the cheap Viscious. The pro grade Viscious is ok.

Awesome! I use 4# P-Line florocarbon on my trout rig. Whatcha gonna do once you catch them all or they die off in the warm water? You're gonna have to go to East TN or North Arkansas to get your trout. \:\)

Awesome! So you say city lake, may I ask which city?
All fish are meant to be released, and animals shouldn't be hunted...didn't you know that hahahaha

Yeah, gotta throw those back! Keeping them is unsporting and uncivilized. Better to let them die slowly of oxygen deprivation in 3 months...

Some people drive me nuts with how they can be such condescending know-it-alls while they actually know virtually nothing.
