Yes, it is pouring down. The police have closed off Independence Avenue because of a large number of wrecks. Son just called and told me as he was trying to go to work this afternoon.
Just noticed that cars are unable to get up the hill that I live on. Glad I talked my wife into taking our 4x4 truck to work today.

WGK, it was quite a snow. Snowed 6 inches in three hours. Weatherman had predicted snow from noon until 7 pm. We were lucky that it only lasted three hours. Only 4x4's were able to get around the wrecks on Independence Avenue. My son walked about a mile toward home and someone in an SUV picked him up and brought him home. My wife was at work 20 miles away and it took her 1 1/2 hours to get home. We lost power right after my last post and it just got turned on again at 8:30 tonight. Because of all the rain,a lot of trees were ready to fall, and the heavy wet snow pushed a lot of trees onto power lines. Wife and I ended up buying a Mr. Buddy heater to stay warm.
