Is it necessary to eat something if you truly aren't hungry? I have spells of just flat out not wanting to eat but force myself to eat something anyway. Would it really hurt me if I skipped a day here and there? Pros and cons??

Buy some good protein powder....two kinds...buy some cassein protein powder (protein from meat) and some whey protein powder. Your muscles need to be fed daily...your bones need to be fed daily. If you don't want to eat, put 32 grams of whey protein powder in a 16oz bottle of water...drink enough of that water to allow you to put the protein in (this will also help with hydration and allow you to put the powder in the bottle)...shake it until it's all mixed and drink it down...twice a day.
At night before going to bed do the same thing with the cassein protein..cassein protein powder will not mix as well but it is slow to be used by the body and will last you through the night.
Unless you want to be one of those "bent over old women" some day feed yourself some supplements like calcium, iron, minerals, etc also...some of the protein powder now has all of that in it...check out Beverly International and GNC
Finally, drink bottled water..keep hydrated

Thanks Coach. I do take calcium and d3 and another supplement. I will go see what GNC has. Maybe a protein shake will be tolerable on the days I don't want food. Too bad it's not every day. Lol Some days I feel like I'm gonna starve. Chocolate cures that. RutMan- I take an xmam each day around 9 or so.
Wally World has a 2.5lb tub of whey - vanilla, chocolate or strawberry - about 15 bucks.. I buy it often

I have some peanut butter chocolate flavored protein powder that works for me on days like that.

We sell a few kinds at Cvs (can you say discount?). Does it matter what brand of whey protein? Anything in particular I need to look for or avoid?

I know plenty of people that force themselves to eat. Depends on your goals. Your body does better when your calorie intake isn't all over the place. My snacks when I wasn't really hungry were almonds and cottage cheese.

My snacks when I wasn't really hungry were almonds and cottage cheese. My calorie intake is never the same. If I eat breakfast, I have to make myself. I rarelt want to eat while I'm at work. Sometimes I want supper, some days I don't. It's weird but then so am I.
