During the National Rifle Association’s meeting with Vice President Joe Biden and the White House gun violence task force, the vice president said that the administration did not have the time to prosecute existing gun laws.
Jim Baker, the NRA representative present at the meeting, recalled the vice president’s words to The Daily Caller: “And to your point, Mr. Baker, regarding the lack of prosecutions on lying on Form 4473s, we simply don’t have the time or manpower to prosecute everybody who lies on a form, that checks a wrong box, that answers a question inaccurately.”
Submitting false information on an ATF Form 4473 — required for the necessary background check to obtain a firearm — is a felony punishable by up to ten years in prison, depending on prior convictions and the judge, according to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

They can't enforce the laws already on the books so the crimals have a free hand while law abiding American citizens get more anti-gun laws dumped on them.

I remember when this was a big deal when Clinton was in office...we had something like 100,000 failed NICS background checks and only about 10 that were prosecuted.
Yeah, that's what we need, more background checks.

Makes no sense whatsoever.  If we can't enforce the ones we already have, why/how are we going to enforce the new ones?!
You are making the assumption that the Gubment wants to protect the citizens and punish evildoers. That is the old school paradigm.
Remember who we are dealing with. The ultimate goal of progressives is to have ALL power in the hands of an elite ruling class. A combination of Socialists, globalists, mega financiers, and political thugs. Picture a global Mafia organization without the ethnic ties.
So.... Making new gun laws is a farce, a lie, a red herring. They admit that it will do NOTHING to stop insane people going on rampages or criminals.
SO.... who WILL it affect?
Law abiding citizens. People with morals and belief in right and wrong. People who MIGHT one day decide that enough is enough and take matters into their own hands. People who MIGHT say "Get off my yard" to government. People who might be disgusted with a government who will oppress the citizens yet allow members of government to break the law without any prosecution, and start making citizens arrest of law makers.
Without an armed citizenry, government would have ZERO fear of consequences for their actions.
