Premium.

They are pretty good loads but unless you get old stock they use the flight controlled wad, which means you need to use a none wad striping choke like a factory one, old school Undertaker or one specifically designed for it.

I use to shoot them from my 870 when i had it using a $20 undertaker choke with very good results, actually liked it the best from the lead group. Havent shot it in a few years though so not sure if anything has changed in their loads.

like ren said I haven't shot them in a while but I had good results from them I had to change chokes a lot though to find one with the results I wanted. but I haven't shot them in probably 3 years though.

The lead gave me great patterns in my 12 ga.

The federal heavyweight #7's puts about 55% of the shot in a 10 in circle at 40 yards in my 10 ga. and nothing is walking away from those shells. The #7 shot will blow through 1/2 in plywood at 40 yds.

Thanks for the answers. I do use a 870 turkey gun, with a 24 in barrel and Remington factory turkey choke so it sounds like I will be okay. Found some on the shelf at a local sporting goods for $14.97 per box. Guess I will give them a try. Not much $ for a test fire.
