I'm looking into reloading shot shells. I found a lot of useful info out there but I cant seem to find a recipe for the Winchester Super X.
Found plenty for the AA but none for the Super X.
Has anyone ever reloaded these? I got about 200 rounds on hand and dont really want to just throw them out.

I think they are interchangeable but do not quote me on that.

I have reloaded shot shells since the late 60's and never worried about the brand or type of hull, just follow the other data listed

Don't throw them away. AA's are all I will reload. They are the best to reload as far as I am concerned.

I loaded about 5k year before last.. then my shoulder got to hurting and.. well.. my shooting has slowed way down.. I loaded aa's for ever until I discovered the base wad could come out and cause a barrel explosion.. which I have seen the pictures of a few where this happened.. I switched to the Remington Premier STS and never looked back.. If you load the new AA's make it a habit to always look through your barrel before you load a shell.. I wouldnt shoot them in a auto loader.. just my .02

I quite shooting competitively about 15 years ago, but reloaded more thousands of AA's, the blue Remington-Peters, and green Remington Premiers than I care to remember. To the best of my recollection, AA's, Premiers and all of the better target shells do not have separate base wads - they are of a one-piece design so I don't see how you could get the situation described by pressfit. Certainly, cheaper loads and hunting shells have a fiber base wad that is not supposed to come out when you shoot but those shells are not designed to be reloaded. I would not reload any shell that has a separate base wad, just to be safe. I believe the Super-X does have a base wad, so I would not recommend reloading them.

I was thinking the same thing?? Not saying pf is wrong, maybe I am. Federals? yes. Win AA's? I thought not.
In 12 gauge, I'm pretty much reloading all Rem gun clubs and Nitro 27's.

I also thought the Super X had a paper base wad like a Federal Top Gun or Estate. I do reload the Top Gun for skeet, and only skeet, but only one time and leave them on the ground.
