Get shot I guess, I don't feel the need to great everyone with a loaded gun at this point, at least not where I live, and if I lived some place that I did feel the need to carry in my home I would move.

Slaughter it says 1 and 5 Burglarized that could be defined as some one steeling some thing from your residence which could include taking something out of your care while you are at home. Stats can be made to say what you want but also, using the I have lived here 15 years and we have 100 homes and none have had a home invasion? Now what do you call a home invasion one that a criminal breaks in and steels some thing or does the owners have to be home and held at gun point. While I am sure you are friends with some of the neighbors do you know them all? Maybe something has happen you dont know about? What is your address? I am sure if it is ripe the crooks would love to know.
I have had my house broken into and things stolen, luckily it was right before we moved in and were still working on fixing it up. That I would say was probably a couple of kids. But I know some area's in Nashville or Memphis if I had to live I would probably walk around with a hand gun and assault riffle.

I think it may depend on where you live and your surroundings...I can understand Arctic Cat thinking it's a little bit paranoid to be packing at the Thanksgiving table type thing. Nobody has ever carried a gun in my home to any degree so it's foreign to me too...The part about "feeling like a man" was probably phrased wrong Im thinking...

I figure if the little meth heads will break into our truck that's sitting 4 ft from the door, the little bastages wouldn't have a problem coming on in.

Right on Coach -
I carry 'mostly' in my home because of where I live - but not like you think - I live mostly alone in the woods - not in a 'bad' neighborhood - I carry on my property for yotes/cats and the stray METH HEAD etc that I might run up on walking around on the property - and just don't take it off when I walk inside -
Like someone else said - once you start to carry - it's like picking up your wallet, watch and truck keys - it becomes part of what you do everyday -
Has nothing to do with my 'manhood' - it's just a tool of my life style -
ferg....

We have a neighborhood association, have yearly meetings and progects to raise money for the decorations that are put out for different holidays, They ask at these meeting if anyone has had any break ins or troubles. It is an old school neighborhood with a lot of elderly people in it. We know what's going on around us.
The car break in are stupid kids that get caught.
I like where I live, I feel safe in my home, I don't worry about my kids out ridding their bikes, I would hate to live anywhere I felt the need to carry in my home.
I feel sorry for those of you that do.
