Profit margins are razor thin. Competition is ruthless. Manufacturers are tepid in their support. People in the Middle Tennessee will not pay for service (They will say they will, but they won't. At least not in the numbers to keep your rent and electricity paid). Everybody is an expert on working on archery equipment and when you fix their bow they will walk out the door and undo all your work and blame you for their bow not shooting straight. Then find something that will pay your rent, electricity, water, coffee, employees, and insurance for the other 10 and 1/2 months out of the year. If you can find the answer to these problems in a state with a shrinking bowhunting population, you will do better than the other 10 or 12 archery shops that have started and closed in the last 20 years. There are No..."0"... Nada...Zippo... archery pro shops in Nashville.
I wish you the best of luck.

If you plan on putting in a shop in Lawrenceburg I'd base it solely around guns and archery but also offer other hunting gear. Lawrence Co. is in desperate need of a good gunsmith. We had a great one for years but he has since passed away. Lawson's has a pretty good archery shop but if you need a trigger job done you'll have to find a buddy that can do it or take it to Columbia/Franklin.
