are these shows kinda like warren millers movie for skiiers? if so can one get dvds for it after the show?

Yes, it's somewhat like the Warren Miller flicks. Folks send in their fishing video (film shorts), and the producers pick the best ones and make a film out of it. These videos are bigtime professionally done.
The videography is amazing with the scenery around the world and the close-ups of the fish taking the fly. The crowd gets into it and starts hooping and hollering at the size of the fish or especially when the fish slams the fly.
I'm not so sure if you can buy the exact Film Tour film, but many of the filmmakers chosen have their own DVDs. I've got a couple of them. An excellent one promoted by the Film Tour is "Off the Grid." Another good one that I don't think has anything to do with the Tour is "Fish Bum I: Mongolia."
I don't think they sell DVDs at the show. They give away shirts and hats and draw for prizes. They sell beer at the shows, too.

thanks gil, im goin to look for the "off the grid" flick. i would go see the show but it falls on monday....i mean, who goes to the movies on a monday....haaaaa
