East TN late season doves

Over the Christmas holiday, I discovered a new hobby while in Middle TN, late season dove hunting. I'm wanting to get out and do some more hunting while the season is still in, but have no idea where to go. During the early season, I normally just walk out to the fields at Wears Bend (TVA land) and hunt. With deer season being in, I'm not to sure about that with the blaze orange requirements and so forth. Anybody have any ideas? Next year, I'll be sure to have some private land secured before the end of the season, but I'm not sure about getting some before the end of this season.

I'm not needing fast and furious shooting. I just want something to do in the mornings and evenings before and after work. Tired of deer hunting.

We shot these last week in NC. I love late season doves. Big mature birds. If I could have got more people to go, we all would have done better. These were over bush-hogged corn stalks. A mojo dove and 4 decoys. It was like duck hunting. Big groups would circle and then bomb the decoys. It was fun.

my best dove hunts have been late december.. dont have a field this year though. good luck with it!

I didn't have decoys with me, but if I would have, I would have just run out of shells earlier. $\:D$

I also experienced the big flocks. Some of the flocks were so big, I was able to unload and reload my gun 3 times before all of them passed. There had to have been thousands of doves in some of them.
