I would have told them to shove that box of 22's up their butt sideways. I paid $25 for 550 22lr this weekend.

Boycott the gouging shops and tell them why, if enough people do it things will change. Vote with your wallet.

I agree with CBH. I personally make a note of the shops that I see gouging and will not give them another cent.

Me, too. Like the local shops charging $40 for a pound of powder. I fully understand supply and demand, but I also understand gouging and poor customer service and lack of loyalty to otherwise loyal customers. That is why a few other shops have earned my business by doing right by their customers. It is just good business.

So is there a difference in asking $100 for that 22 ammo and asking
$1200 for an AR that was $750. I just saw a post of someone praising a stores ammo prices but their AR price were out of wack.

Not me... If they have what I want, and nobody else does, and I choose to buy it.....they'll continue to see me. If the price goes down they'll adjust. No big deal - just Supply/Demand

Kimber45 you have a valid point, but the shops I'm talking about raised their 223/1000rd from 349 to 849 over night, that is gouging and hyper inflating prices. The shops I prefer to trade at have raised their prices according to their cost, and I have no problem with that. I used to sell ammo for a living, I know how the business works. I just hope the gougers (if that is a real word), have to pay $15 for a gallon of milk.

I wonder how some of these shops are coping with not being able to get inventory. If they cant get it, they cant sell it. I think alot of them may suffer if things dont slow down. I know a couple have raised their prices to make the inventory last a little longer.
