anyone been on the williamsport non quota turkey hunts? I hear they are pretty chock full of hunters but the turkey hunting can be good because the birds are only pressured for a couple of weekends during the season.

never been but I see a lot of birds out there when fishing got a good amount there. I filmed a group of gobblers walking by my stand during a quota deer hunt there. Also heard them yelping and gobbling on the second quota hunt. Makes me think about hunting there this spring.

I hear them gobbling and all of that during the spring when we go fishing ive seen some huge birds out there and they seem like there everywhere. and we just go lake to lake so id say youd have a good chance of getting one. but it wouldn't surprise me if there is a lot of people there.

Alot of hunters!! Get there early and be prepared to have someone come in and try and get between you and the bird you are working. Otherwise, great place with alot of turkeys.

Alot of hunters!! Get there early and be prepared to have someone come in and try and get between you and the bird you are working. Otherwise, great place with alot of turkeys. if I can find where one is roosting I could probably get really close to the tree and kill him when he flies down. That's kind of wishful thinking but not too unlikely if I manage to find roosted birds the day before the hunt.

Thats exactly right!! One time I was working a bird that was coming in and all of the sudden I see this truck coming from an adjacent farm into the field, park the truck, get out and start calling.. Needless to say the bird was GONE!! just one of my adventures there.
