how would you guys answer this question? had that thrown at me today....
Is a nuke considered arms?

The Right to Keep and Bear Arms refers to Arms you can carry.
Rifles, RPG's, Stinger Missles, TOW's, and such are covered by the Second Amendment.
The intention of the Second Amendment was to enable the citizens to have the same weapons as the Government. We the People are the Militia.

These are arguments you are not going to win, so why try?
Simply say you have plans for your own space station and you NEED that nuke to protect it from aliens and Romulans from hostile takeover. Add in that you know The Matrix movie was about your life and the government is constantly scanning your brainwave patterns for ideas about 'the resistance'.
I dont waste time on those who use irrationality as their premise to ground their argument on. Thats a no-win situation.
I simply wave those people to the side and go on about my day.
