MS Gov calls for legislation barring LEO from gun

The MS Govenor just asked for immediate legislation in that state to prevent state LEO's from doing any actions that are against the 2nd Amendment.
He said that the presidents anti-gun/anti-2nd Amendment orders today were the cause of his concern and call for immediate action.
I haven't heard if TN's Gov has made a similar call or not, but if not I hope and pray that he does so soon. There are over a dozen states now that have done the same thing.

Tennessee needs to do this. LEO's, I believe and correct me if I'm wrong, take an oath to uphold the constitution, but this would be a bright reminder of that.

Tennessee needs to do this. LEO's, I believe and correct me if I'm wrong, take an oath to uphold the constitution, but this would be a bright reminder of that.

TN's Governor is too much of a liberal to do anything like this. He truly is so wishy-washy that he has no stand on any issue.

The TN legislature will be coming in session at the end of this month. In TN they would be the ones to start this, as I am sure we will have some of our more gun friendly members will want to push this. The bright side of this is that the R's have the power so if they have the will this could pass rather fast. Now if the Gov veto's "which I doubt he would" they have a simple override in TN.

This is nothing more than pandering to the pro gun people, its politics.
While I agree this is grandstanding but this may be one fight the states rights people may get behind and try to test the SC on where the state rights are.
