It just involves polishing some parts (connector, trigger bar, firing pin, firing pin safety) to make the trigger pull a little more smooth. It isn't a huge difference, but is worth the short time it takes in my opinion. Basically you're just smoothing over any metal to metal contact areas.

You could certainly do the same for an XD, although I don't have one and am not personally familiar with them. If you're comfortable detail stripping it, just break it down and examine it. See what you think. The key is to understand that you're only trying to polish the metal - not reshape it. You don't want to round off any edges or anything like that. Just make it smooth.. nothing more.

A glock is about the simplest gun I've ever seen.. easy one to learn/practice on.

I've just never seen or heard of a glock that needed modifying, and yes I am fully capable of making that same mistake:)
