From what I read, they will become contraband immediately upon passage.

I want someone to please explain how lowering the mag limit would help anything
Who cares if it holds 7 or 15 or 30. Who would be able to stop someone between mag changes? I mean what does it take a whole 5 seconds to change if you practice up a little.
So someone is going to say "I only have a 7 round magazine so I'm not going to shoot up an establishment cause I have to carry a few extra magazines with me".

New York was just a litmus test, they will not stop there.
Look for New Jersey, and the other New England states to fall soon after.
Illinois, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, and California will be close behind.

NYS will pass the law for sure, its a done deal.
You cannot buy ammo without EVERY time for any caliber being checked against a database and the puirchase and your information duly reocrded in the database. Also, if you buy over the web, it has to be sent to a FFL and they have to check you. and each time, the maximum they can charge you is $10.00 for the checking. Insanity. They are banning your firearm by doing away with your ability to purchase ammo.
Stupid idiots left hand loaders out totally. I hate to say this but I think I should stock up and I already have a lot. This is total BS.
