For the last several years i have always had a backup bow. The thing is i hardly ever shoot my backup. In like the eight years I've had a backup I 've never needed one.I am thinking about buying a new bow. I am considering selling my primary and backup to not be out of pocket on the new one. I wouldn't have a backup. However, i do my own work and would buy a spare string and cable. So i could have them changed quick if something happened to them. I am trying to decide what to do. How many of you guys have needed a backup during season for something besides string and cable?

I haven't needed a back up in 15 years. That's just me though

I just counted the years I actually had a back up. I guess the real total for me not needing one would be 14 years.

it's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it

I might not need one, but I like having multiple bows.

I have a backup, but I haven't touched it years and I'm thinking about selling it. Since I have every piece of eqiupment needed, I do all of my own work and if an emergency pops up I always keep my newest "old" string until I can get a new one from energywave.

Don't have one, but want one. Actually, want a new bow and keep the Switchback XT as the back up.
I just can't seem to pull the trigger. I constantly go look, shoot the newest line, dream about it, but just won't do it.....I don't know why.
I've still got the Xmas bonus that is burning a hole in my pocket and was all set to buy one, even to the point I went and shot a Creed on Xmas Eve, but for whatever reason I always talk myself out of it.
But to answer your question....no back up here.

I only needed a back once when I was on a draw hunt and on the opening morning dropped my bow from the stand and bent the cam. I did not have a back up and could not get it fixed before the hunt was over. I still do not own a back up , but when I buy a new one I will have a back up. Just in case.

I had one for 3 years and had no intention of selling it. I found a guy this year that wanted to buy his son a bow for Christmas but couldn't put to much torwards one. I gave him a good deal on it and now don't have a backup anymore. With this being said, I didn't sell it for the money (not complaining about it either!) I didn't want it to go to waste in my closet when there are people out there that want a bow that don't have the money to buy a new one. Have regretted it one bit.
