I have just been on TWRA's website trying to get a couple youngsters signed up for the hunting safety course or a hunter safety field day so they will be ready to start hunting spring turkey.
I am located in Murfreesboro and from what I can tell there is no class or field day offered within 150 miles of me between now and April 1. Do I understand this correctly? If so, how does this promote and encourage young hunters to get ready to hunt? I understand the importance of a hunter safety certificate but can't we make it easier for young hunters to receive their hunter's certificate? ...and not be a roadblock to their participation.
Will more class times and locations be posted? Or are these the only options I have? Thanks in advance for your replies.

I found one in Woodbury, a classroom course beginning February 18.
More classes will be posted. The schedule changes daily.

Classes may become available at any time. Since most of the classes are taught by volunteers they often wait until they know what will fit their schedule.
