I'm really amazed at the harvest reports because I heard less shooting this time than ever before and most guys I talked to said that this was one of the worst years they had in a very long time. Could have been just a local thing around my area.

This year had some periods of warm weather, but other than those it was cold a lot of the time when it needed to be to get a lot of deer on the ground. i knew this season would be a pretty good one.

the processors around here were swamped and turning people away.

Slow in my area also. I thought the weather here was terrible the first couple of weeks of gun season except for acouple of days.

We have also had strong acorn production in my area every year since then also. Great catalyst for recovery also.
