Yes, I was referring to the Duncan Tankage Plant.
There are several reasons why not to float past, including lack of good take-out points, loss of water quality, and of course, the downstream aroma when Duncan is stirring it up.
I've never caught a rainbow on the North Fork past Duncan's.

Have you seriously caught some there?
Wondering the same thing !! Never heard of any being caught in the obion.
At first I was curious as to were you was catching them because like yourself id never seen much less caught one ! Didnt know they was stocking the city pond with them.

On the dip, not jb3 but this is how I make it.
This is not specific to trout, any mild/flaky fish ought to do. I have used crappie and catfish in mine mainly.
Smoke the fish, either whole or fileted at about 200-225 until done, my favorite is hickory.
Let it cool down, chilled in the fridge is best because it will concentrate the smoked flavor more.
Shred it up and mix with a package of Rondele or Boursin dip, and add another pack or two of regular cream cheese and you are ready to eat.
You can add a little sour cream if you want a little lighter consistency to it as well, depends whether your dipping or spreading it on something I guess.
