My Grandmother always used hog jowl and that's what I prefer. fry it for a few minutes then add to peas and greens to cook. I'd much rather eat fatty chunks of hog jowl than a knarly old ham bone any day...LoL

Parmesan and Cheddar Biscuits

2 Cups Bisquick (you heard me)
2/3 cup plus 1 1/2 tablespoon half and half (or just cream)
1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1/8 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or shallot powder
2 tablespoons butter (melted)
1 garlic clove minced

Heat oven to 450
Mix together Bisquick, garlic powder, half and half and cheeses. Drop dough by 10 spoonfuls on a cookie sheet.
Bake for 8-10 minutes until tops are golden brown. Mix melted butter with minced garlic and Brush finished biscuits with the mixture. Serve immediately.
