SCN,
My father in-law will be 65 in October and will move to Nashville around the same time after retiring. He wants to get back into hunting which he hasn't done in many years. He is a Georgia resident now. Once back in TN, will it be best to buy the 65+ Lifetime Sportsman at $270?
If he doesnt want to get the lifetime, will he need to buy type 166 Permenant Senior Citizen Hunt/Fish/Trap ($11) just once and then each year purchase the 167 Annual Senior Citizen Permit ($41)?
Thanks!

The Lifetime Sportsman covers him for evert=ything from that point on and includes the magazine.
The other option is the one time purchase of the Type 166 and the annual purchase of the 167.
It looks like it would take 6 years before he comes out ahead on the Lifetime. Hopefully he will have more years than that to enjoy hunting and fishing.

I got the Typ 166 and the 167 last year. The only problem I had was a young GW didn't reconice the permint 166. I bet that gets taken care of.

I turned 65 this year myself. Purchased the 166 for $11.00. Not a bad deal for we seniors, lets you hunt most anything. Although you need to pay a fee for quota hunts or elk drawing. A type 94 is required to take doe during gun season ($28.00)add. I don't hunt state managed areas so when you add the numbers the best deal.
