Wanting to outfit my turkey gun with some optics. I had a scope on one of my old turkey guns and liked it pretty well. I'm leaning towards a true glo red dot scope. like to know if anybody has used a true glo or what optics they prefer.

My 11-87 has a Pentax scope with a circle and crosshair reticle that I really love for turkeys. I shoot a very high percentage with that scope and gun.

I went with the Burris Speedbead last year when I ran into issues with a new weapon, it is fantastic and held up well through the season.

I'd go scope or holographic (mueller quick shot, speedbead or fast fire style) personally. I can't stand the red dot tube style personally.
I went with a holographic on one of my guns 2 years ago do to POI issues and I like it. It has its advantages and disadvantages but overall I like using it enough that I fixes the POI issues and still keep it on there.

Girly or not I really like my Burris FastFire on my 870. I guess crawling through all the mud and briars when stalking on is kinda like combat huh? So stick u some type of scope or red dot on and dont worry about it.

Most turkey hunters know that when you are forcing lots of shot at high speeds through a super tight choke the POA and POI are not the same. That's why adjustable sights are a must. I use a Leupold NWTF Edition turkey scope with a turkey plex reticle. Whatever you choose get some type of adjustable sight. I'd like to try an eotech just for comparison but they cost more than my scope. Some guys love scopes like me, some don't.

I should've said POA and POI are usually not the same. There are always exceptions.
