I like both, but from what I know so far Turkey Hunting has more action.

Love em both. Nothing like a cold cloudy morning anticipating a big buck walk by you in the winter. And nothing like a the sound of daybreak in the spring when three or four gobblers start sounding off.

Never been turkey hunting, so I favor deer hunting by default.

Turkey hunting is during the warmer months. I can't see myself sitting still in warm weather...sweating, swatting at mosquitoes, picking off ticks, watching for snakes, etc. But I'd try it once, just to see what the fuss is about.

deer hunting for me. ive tried the turkey hunting and go a few times a year but just cant get into that much. ive tried duck hunting and like it better than turkey but still nothing compares to deer hunting for me. For me, theres nothing like sitting in the deer stand and just thinking about life and looking at the trees turning leaves and different critters running around.

When I go turkey hunting, I'm covered up in deer. When I'm deer hunting I'm covered up in turkeys. Hate them both, but I'm addicted.

I have hunted bushy tails, and rabbits as I was growing up, in 1975 I started hunting whitetails.Killed my first buck at 16, and I was hooked for life. Turkeys didn't come into play until the late 90s, very elusive animals to hunt. I killed my first bearded bird, and it was a bearded hen with a 7.1/2" beard.Killed a few gobblers off and on, and then about 3 yrs ago we started getting them on the farm.Which makes it easier to hunt them for me, I don't have to drive along way to hunt them.Been pretty successfull last 3 yrs I guess 2 one year the limit of 4 the next and 2 last year.

With that all said, altho it is one of natures ultimate sites to see a full blown goobbler strutting and gobbling coming in to my call and the decoys.I make the shot, you go to the bird and yes there is a sense of acoplishment and enjoyment of that hunt.

BUT There is no and I mean no feeling that comes close in my book as a big mature whitetail in rut time showing up steam blowing out of his nostrils from chasing a doe in heat, he gets into range and you pull the trigger, he drops, you make your way to him and then the adrenilin rush hits you, you admire him and what he stands for,and old warrior, and you yourself figured him out, I tell ya folks a blame turkey just don't come close to deer hunting, sorry thats top of the list for me HORNS all the way!!
