fair price for 200 rounds of brass cased federal 55g 223 ammo?
this is target ammo - not hunting
not really kept up with current prices - what would be a fair cash price? want to be fair to both parties invloved.

Depends on which Federal ammo it is.... The bulk boxes of 55gr fmj Federal ammo 100 rnds is around $40 per box at my local Wal-Mart (when in stock)...

ok thanks - see where metal cased is selling (and quickly at that) for .55 a round surely brass is worth that - which would be $110

normally 80 bucks at walmart. With the demand a fair price would be 100 bucks. IMO

Gunbroker auction had a box of 200 Remington UMC 223 FMJ 55 grain, auction started at 1 penny, bid was up to $205 and 4 hours left on auction. This is insanity. I saw 5250 CCI 22 LR going for $375.00, over double.
There are some folks buying up ammo with the sole intent of reselling at a profit, which is fine by me, but I won't pay these grossly inflated prices.
I think the 100 number is reasonable but still high.
