This morning as I was driving to go squirrel hunting on Yanahli WMA I saw a ridiculous amount of birds all along hwy 50 east of Columbia for at least a couple miles. Not the dense black clouds of birds like blackbirds, these were more spread out and "peppered" the entire sky. When I parked the truck there were still quite a few flying and as I was walking through fields and into the woods I realized they were all robins. Never seen so many before. Now they are gone and there is not a robin to be heard.

I lived near there for awhile too. Mandeville/Madisonville area actually but I worked all of St Tammany and Washington Parish as well as all of the River Parishes.

According to my mother my grand father(past away in the late 1940s) use to shoot em and eat em when they migrated through Maury County way back when.

I have an old market hunting price sheet, the price of robins $0.50 per dozen
