Has anyone used the one with the blades for cutting wood and bricks? Looking at buying one and have heard great reviews but who has better knowledge than you guys. Anybody own or used one?

I have one that I use in woodworking. Have never tried cutting brick, but it works great on wood.

Not good for bricks ..... i am a concrete\masonry guy... much better to use a diamond blade on a skill saw or on a grinder if your cutting brick. Far as cutting the wood depends on what your doing. As others said, great for small jobs. Hope this helps.

I have used them for cutting most everything while they do cut brick or grind it in some cases if you are doing anything large Dog house is correct to use a skill saw. They are a must have for dyi people as they are easy to grab and do small task.
