I have a 1100 20guage that is giving me fits. When I try to load shells into the magazine tube, they go about half way in and stop. After trying a few times they go in. It feels like it's hanging on something in the tube, but it's not. Plug is out, new spring, new follower, tube is not dented and is clean. Just started doing it this year, bought the new spring etc trying to fix it, but no luck. Cycles fine, just hits a solid wall when loading till I continue to push the shell half in and out till it finally goes in.

Any ideas?

Is the rim of the shell catching on the cut out of the carrier (where the bolt release is located)?

It goes past the bolt release button, a little more than halfway into the magazine tube and stops. Everything is black under there and my eyes are not what they used to be. I do know it not the magazine tube or mag tube spring or mag follower, all that is brand new. I read something about an interceptor latch, but I'm not sure what that is to be honest.

Yeah, there's a latch on the left side of the receiver that rotates. Check to make sure it travels freely.
