when i came back to the u.s. from Iraq i bought2 Barnett jackals one for me the other for my wife she went hunting with me a few time but quit she wasn't seeing the number of deer like she saw on TV so she quit going. anyway i gave my son her bow for his birthday love the 315 fps powerful bow it is very accurate.the company's reputation for making crossbow for over 50 years is outstanding their customer service is totally awesome their warranty is hard to beat they make top of the line bow. easton makes Barnett's arrows. it all is a perfect match.

my son will be 9 this summer and wants a crossbow , u think this jackal would make him a good one

My Barnett Quad 400 feels stinkin' heavy. (And this coming from a guy with an 11lb hunting rifle.)
Plus, near impossible to manuver in heavy brush. Even with a sling, no easy way to carry it.
BUT, from a blind or tree stand, no problem.

Seen them at rural king for 269 yesterday. Nice looking xbow

Had trouble getting a new string but love the bow. Heard they arent making them any more........ Changing to a new model .... Best bow for the $ IMO

Bought one for my wife for Christmas. She loves it! Robinhooded a bolt on her third shot! Definitely great for the money. Adding the cocking device for her this spring.

Bought one when they first came out. Never shot a deer with it but does well target shooting.
