Seems like everyone in Memphis has some sort of connection to him...
I have the drum cases in my garage from one of his session drummers (Larrie Londin).
I also had the cool opportunity of getting to play in the at the James Burton music festival in Shreveport several years ago. Burton was Elvis' lead guitar player and seemed like a really nice guy. The festival raised money for his charity that buys musical instruments for public schools.

Back before we became refugees from Memphis, the radio station I listened to there had a contest to see who had the strangest Elvis stuff. One guy was the son of the ER nurse from when Elvis passed. He had Elvis' toe tag.

I lived in Memphis for most of my life, for about 8 yrs lived down the street from his place. My parents delivered the evening paper to him everyday, my mother was allowed to drive up to the house and knock on the door to collect the monthly bill but never got to meet him. I know where there are about 25 news papers first issue of his death, still banded up by the original straps. But I was never a fan of his, didnt really like his music either. I layed out the cross walk with the traffic light in front of his house back when I was working for the City Traffic Signal Department.

That's pretty cool! I have a floor tom that did the 1975 Charlie Daniel's Band tour and a case with "Eddie Rabbit" stenciled o the side.
